Całe leczenie zostało bardzo dobrze zaplanowane i przeprowadzone w ciągu kilku miesięcy. A ja, zamiast bać się każdej kolejnej wizyty, zaczęłam przychodzić z poczuciem, że jestem w dobrych rękach. How they run treatment
In his work he relies above all on conversation, careful diagnostics and the patient's informed decision. Before starting treatment he wants to understand what the patient would like to change and what result will suit them. If that is hard to put into words, he helps find the right direction together.
He begins larger makeovers with a design. Based on diagnostics, a scan and an analysis of the facial features, he prepares an individual smile concept that the patient can see and physically try on their own teeth before treatment begins.
He does not use one design template. He matches the shape, proportions and character of the teeth to the face, the smile and the expectations of the particular person. He pays attention to details – the length and width of the teeth, their proportions to the face and how they look when speaking and smiling.
His aim is not to give every patient an identical, 'perfect' smile. He designs a smile that looks natural, suits the face and remains the patient's own smile.
Education and training
Mikołaj Kisiel, DDS, is a graduate of the Medical University of Warsaw. He has worked in cosmetic dentistry for more than 10 years and has more than 100 comprehensive smile makeovers to his name.
He developed his experience in aesthetics, among other things, on the four-part practical Belograd Academy course and on Digital Smile Design courses devoted to digital smile design and planning. He also keeps deepening his knowledge of occlusion, digital dentistry and comprehensive treatment planning.
In implantology he completed the ten-month Practiculum Implantologii accredited by OSIS-EDU and obtained the Vivadental Certificate of Implantology Skills, passing an exam before an examination board.
He takes an active part in courses run by recognised specialists from around the world, developing his knowledge of, among other things, soft-tissue surgery and gum aesthetics, smile design and the planning of comprehensive prosthetic and cosmetic treatment – including implant cases. The lecturers and mentors whose knowledge he has drawn on include Paulo Carvalho and Ricardo Kern.
In his daily work he uses a microscope and magnification, valuing precision and keeping as much of the patient's own tissue and teeth as possible.
Outside dentistry he has been involved with the stage for years. In his free time he performs as an actor at the Proscenium Musical Theatre, combining his work as a dentist with his second professional passion – musical theatre.
